The Nascar Sprint Cup series held the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motorspeedway on Saturday night. Ryan Newman started the race from the pole position but it was Brad Keselowski that took home the trophy. Keselowski won the race and picked up his third victory of the season holding off Martin Truex Jr. and Jeff Gordon for the win. Gordon led the most laps of the race with 206. The win moved Keselowski up to the eleventh position in the points standings. Keselowski also won the race with a broken ankle. He suffered the injury while on a practice session at another race track. Next week the sprint cuppers will be racing at Atlanta motorspeedway for the Advocare 500. Be sure to check the blog for the results.

The Nascar race at Bristol was a night race, as usual, it was an exciting race. Brad Keselowski, the new young gun, is definitely on a hot streak. He was ranked 21st in points four races ago and has since improved his position by eleven places in just four races. Brad is currently in position to claim one of the two Wild Card spots for the Sprint Cup Chase in two weeks. Brad Keselowski's win at Bristol locks in four drivers that could win a total of $3 million ( $1 million for the driver, $1 million for his favorite charity, & $1 million for a lucky fan) if any of them can take the checkered flag at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the AdvoCare 500 on Saturday, Sept. 4. The track at Atlanta is a big and fast track. This will be another exciting night race to watch.
